Where I come from, riding the planet of a man who has orchestrated the murder of thousands of innocent people is indeed making the planet a better place.

Where i came from a man accused of such crimes is given a chance to prove otherwise.

...you mean like Vietnam?

The americans are more equiped than al qaida

Most definitely, but its notoriously hard to fight an enemy who knows the terrain like the back of their hand, who hides in caves but also has supporters in the police and military, and who has little or no fear of dying for the greater cause,as a heavenly harem awaits the martyr.
It is virtually impossible to 'win' a war against an insurrectionist guerilla terrorist army.
The Vietnam analogy is valid,as the Americans at the time considered that a few commie rice farmers would be a pushover.
It didn't quite turn out as planned, although we did get some cracking movies out of it.

Very good news I have to disagree with Damocles about Al Quada it is not an organisation or even a group it is rather a loose affiliation of various Salfi groups Bin Laden was a figure head for the movement and it's main idealist

You're right. Why don't you tell those Navy Seals they should have walked up to him, while he is shooting at them, and just ask him nicely to come with them? They gave him a chance to surrender, he chose to keep shooting.
