I'm quite sad that the west made the mass murderer, I'm quite sad that the mass murderer was courted by the west when it suited, I'm quite sad that his murders are reported as murders and our murders are reported as war, I'm quite sad that the posh have created this whole episode but the working class and ill educated have paid with their lives, I'm quite sad that the whole thing from beginning to end has been riddled with plot twist, confusion smoke and mirrors, brain washing, media manipulation and I'm quite sad that the world at large has generally lapped it up like we are told to!!

At least you don't sound like Carl Marx...if you think this whole shit is a conspiracy go find yourself a fucking hole to live in (Cuba and North Korea come to mind)
which part of Cuba? The bit that despite attack from the worlds strongest superpower is just about managing to keep its head above water while maintaining a national health service or the bit that was taken from the country and is a no go zone to the Cuban people? I think anyone who has watched this shitt unfold has the right to ask if its a conspiracy? Ive still not seen any plane wreckage outside the pentagon and why didn't Pakistan know that the worlds most wanted man was living in their back yard.........................this turn of events is so dodgy looking and thats before investigative journalists start asking questions, well the ones that are allowed to at least!!!

After collecting my thoughts on this somewhat, I think that there is one stark lesson that has out of this:

If you don't care whether you live or die, you can morally and financially bankrupt the U.S. and its citizens with only the smallest amount of effort.

I presume that the Civil Contingencies Act and the Prevention of Terrorism Act are now both going to be rescinded as their excuse was terrorism?

Wait, you mean that governments don't give back power that they steal under the guise of security? Who'd of thunk it?

This is an excellent point and one that hadn't occurred to me. Given that Osama Bin Laden's name was mentioned every fucking time this disgracefully abused piece of legislation was being justified I presume its purpose is now obsolete.

The same people who will be proclaiming this as a decisive victory will be the same ones that will resist all calls to repeal (or at least amend) the POTA.

In terms of the dead or alive argument I agree we should do all we can to uphold our (superior) values but this was never going to happen on this occasion. Not least because a Bin Laden that was alive would invite far more potential for terrorism on the USA than a dead one.

One other thing. We still hear Elvis rumours to this day. They have probably just started to recede in volume over the last couple of years since the 30th anniversary of his death. I think we are in for a sustained and equally tedious barrage of Bin Laden rumours for the next 30 years. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hang on Gord, you did say how long before the conspiracists start on the thread, or words to this effect, and now you are at it, you either think there is a lie or you don't? ;)

I believe they caught Sadaam in Tarbuckistan. It's shameful the way they sully the name of the stars of our Saturday night light entertainment.

Jihadist websites are saying that as the Blackhawk helicopters landed the Navy Seals outside Bin Laden's compound loudspeakers from inside blared out the message, 'Nice to see you, to see you nice.' Bastards.

More frenzied hyperbole off the web. You wanna get your facts straight. Anyone with half a brain would obviously know the latest military operation was an homage to Dale Winton's satdee night funfest, Hole in the Wall....

Eh up Brassy, careful mate as the main Sheep dog will round up his men and put you in your place lol.

Great post btw and so true, i like the journalist comment and so so true, and as for Pakistan not knowing? amazing is'nt it considering that we hand over milions and milions each year and not to mention that the CIA,FBI, MOSSAD and the ISI(plus many more organisations) are completely inter-linked, the ignorance is truly frightening, astounding but at the same time laughable, but most of all unbelievable that people can take so much wet washing in all of their lives, wow.

I think that Governments will, like any other entity, abuse their power as much as they can and push the bounds of what they are allowed to. In spite of what you may think I am essentially distrustful of people in power, not because I think they are inherently corrupt but because human beings are flawed and corruptible.

That does not mean that, unlike you, I think there's a conspiracy in everything I see. I just posted on that on the Obama thread and don't intend to repeat myself here, but am happy for you to read that and respond if you wish :-)

Edit: I also believe that theory that I post on here (like the POTA comment) is based on some form of evidence based assertion. There lies the difference with theories just conceived in someones fertile imagination.

Ignorant, stupid, and I really don't know how to put into perspective what you seem to be proposing. So you are telling me that all the people that died on 9/11, people that saw the plane physically fly into the pentagon, and the families of these people who died are all in on a giant conspiracy orchestrated by the United States? You need a fucking wake up call sir! Get your dick out of Stalin's ass and take a second to actually use your brain and think this out.
