Oscar Pistorius to walk free 5th January 24 (P9)

In that case the imaginary and invisible 3rd person at the scene (and therefore with the opportunity) has walked free. Also Mr. Pistorius will need some psychiatric treatment since he handled the murder weapon after Mr. Invisible fled the scene and then didn't deny firing said weapon through the door.
Yeah but ..

It can't really be a miscarriage justice because there was enough evidence on the essential elements of the crime for him to be convicted of the charge of culpable homicide.

It should have been premeditated murder, which would have been harder to prove.
It was changed from culpable homicide to murder

All puns aside - I thought at the time it was a tragic accident, and I still do. The guy should not be in prison.
Having seen bits and pieces of the trial and the TV documentaries I'm convinced he knew what he was doing.

He said he checked the balcony and then went into the bathroom and fired four shots into the locked toilet, where it is highly probable his girlfriend was without checking she was in there first???

What is more conceivable; that he didn't know she was in there, or he did?

I would 100% know if it were my other half as she'd be shouting at me to shut up.

I dunno. I guess if I were a disabled celebrity millionaire living in South Africa, where I'd have a massive target on my back at all times, and heard someone break into my house in the middle of the night I'd absolutely shit myself. And when panicked in the middle of the night, people do all kinds of weird things.

Listen I'm not saying I'm out there starting petitions to free Oscar Pistorius etc, but if it were me on the jury, I would definitely be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm probably 60% in favour of think he's innocent. I just don't believe that he's a stone cold murderer.
