Plays like a strong lad even though he doesn't look big in that picture. Good to see he's had experience playing with Mangala and Fernandoand of course with Serg/Zabs at International level.

Part of me welcomes him but also I would really like to see Denayer develop and given opportunity... Maybe he'll be put out on loan again.

A top quality signing. Argentinian international centre half, with experience of playing in both Portugal and Spain. Real strength in depth now at Centre half, with 3 quality options, and Demichelis/Denayer as backups. Likely Denayer will leave on loan for the season now but, either way, we're definitely a lot stronger than we were defensively.
