He didn't play a lot at Mineiro, why is that?

He played the Libertadores and half Brazilian championship, stood out very fast here and the fans of Atletico Mineiro consider it one of the best CB who have played here, he even playing few matches.

Look I don't think Mangala is as crap as many did last year I could see potential. Often Vinny played more poorly.

However can you imagine the mirth that would be generated had Uniterd paid 32 million on a defender only to put him on the bench a year later.

It does not make economic sense. And I am sure it is not what City had in mind.

Personally think Mangala will turn out great. Way too early to judge him as a failure. Everyone was saying similar about Demi albeit to a lesser extent due to his price.

Otamendi, Denayer/Demichelis, Kompany and Mangala enables us to be extremely strong in all four competitions. I don't see Otamendi as signifying the Mangala transfer as being unsuccesful if I'm honest. Both will get plenty of game time.

Otamendi is available, he's extremely good, deal works for Us/Valencia and best of all, the rags lose out on a target they so desperately needed. All positive in my opinion!

Where'd they get their calculator from? 32 + 56 =88 add 44 for sterling and 8 for Delph bringing it to 140. There's no way Roberts and Unal cost more than 10 million.

You know they will take the full price including add-ons.

Sterling + Delph + Roberts + Unal + Otamendi + KDB

49 + 8 + 12 + 3 + 32 + 56 = 160.

As I see it, 4 for sterling, something like 10 for Roberts and 2.5 from Unal are add ons.

So we're really at 143.5

Minus the sales and its high 80's net spend.

I think he means Shawcross would be cover for Denayer

Oh yeah fair enough, maybe...not definitely, maybe he starts ahead of shawcross.

Doubt it though, experience and all that.

I only meant cover because shawcross is out for at least a few months.

I think Pellers must've told Quimmy to watch the Terminator movies as part of his close season training schedule.
Looked absolutely awesome in the first couple of games.
Loved the way he stood up for a team mate at half time, on Sunday, telling Costa to lay of Fernadinho, or else

I hope Pellegrini is not thinking of playing 3 at the back. Mangala Kompany and Otamendi
