Sorry didn't read the message properly thought it was after the other night. It had been 25 years since we’d won a trophy, at the time.
I always found it odd that fans support a club they like, over their local club. They invest time & money on their glamour side they have no connection with, but don't seem to realise what that same level of support could mean to County or Forest.Whats wrong with that ? thats 3 generations of being Rag ticket holders. At least they're not plastics. I used to be a member of the London branch and I always admired the sacrifices a lot of the members made to travel every Saturday home and away. It wasn't cheap and took up their whole day. Some were ex pats but a lot weren't like me.
Lol :-) It was pre-booked mate, & they were a great bunch. Normal football banter, but nothing snide like "oil money" "terrorists" "20 titles" (to your whatever number it was at the time".I wouldn’t have sat at that table mate
Heanor but I've lived in Ilkeston, Beeston, Notts centre, Alfreton, Ripley and know Long Eaton well. And yep, full of reds in every part. You're not in Long Eaton are you? I was the solitary fan there for a while. Pubs full of Reds and Dippers and kicking off royally when the Florist and the Sheep shaggers used to play.
Can't see it myself.Had some incredible fish and chips in Long Eaton last week. Never been an easy town to run a pub. Long history of failed pubs and bars in that town. Could see it becoming gentrified one day. Cheap, decent housing and very well situated. Town centre could be made really attractive with a huge influx of investment.
I could write a thousand words about a cloud of which I have no fucks to give. It would make the fucks given to the cloud no more worthy of a fuck to be given. I could also wrote one word, ****, for example, to someone I gave a fuck about, or not, and it wouldn't mean the fucks given meant any less.An awful lot of words for someone for someone who, “doesn’t give a fuck”.
This is a great point, actually. Daft kids on social media.Exactly the same as me. Maybe it's because I'm 50 but all fans I meet are respectful of City's past and invariably say "at least you're not United". Haven't had anyone gloating, nothing but sympathy, at least to my face. Daft kids on social media skew people's perceptions of most football fans.
