our away atmosphere today

The Sunderland fans were fantastic yesterday. That corner to the left was simply brilliant. Loads of songs and very, very loud. We were loud in that pub with the tent outside beforehand and in the concourse prior to kick off. We were great for about the first 20 mins or so then just died off for a hour. They came out the second half as one. If this so called 12th man exists then it showed itself at Sunderland yesterday. The noise when they scored was simply deafening. We need to replicate this at the COM and beyond.

-- Mon Aug 30, 2010 2:37 pm --

City fans were great today over the road at the 'pub with the tent' before the game and below the stand pre-game it was rocking, the support up in the stands was ok but you have to give it to the Sunderland lot in the corners, its 2 years running they have got behind their side and drowned out some of our songs. But for the result another top day out at Sunderland.
What was the name of that pub?

Was situated by the home fans in the corner and thought that our support was good!
The AJ song needs a few more voices behind it tho. Got the impression that a lot of folks didnt know it....
Looking forward to Wigan away....

The owner of that pub told me he's never having city fans in the pub again, he said he said we we're knobheads in there last year but he give us another chance and we were even worse this time. He said other than newcastle which is down to the police we are the only team he won't allow in because our fans are absolute loons he said. For anyone not there it started with people throwing beer while singing and before you knew it glass botlles and chairs and all sorts we're beng thrown about

We were there when the chavs started throwing beer around but left about 2.45 iirc. If that is correct then i'm ashamed to call myself a City fan. fucking arseholes

-- Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:12 pm --

It was shit tbf. They opened us up when it came to songs and noise. That singing corner at Sunderland is second to none. They must be 3 or 4 thou on their feet singing. I would love a singing section like that at the COM. Get it sorted

Yeah we left just after the broken glass was being thrown and the bottles !!! Now we all suffer for a minority of dicks .

F00k me...Is it possible to have age limits on this forum thing?...
Having 12 year olds moaning about how quiet our crowd was while they sit in front of a tv watching a game should really be retricted to a "Silly post for adolescents" section.
