our away atmosphere today

Well I've just arrived back from the game and can say that the first half was not too bad singing wise but I did say to the people next to me during the second half that it is not often we are outsung by the home supporters but we were today. Sorry folks but it was not our usual high standard. Maybe we will be better next time.

And when the Sunderland fans sang "You've only got one song" the response from us was not that good. Mind you I think the fact that one of the songs we were singing was that pathetic Ocean Finance one put a lot of our fans off as well. I heard a few people say we should save that for United and only United. What's the point of singing that at Sunderland?
 
Just got back as well. All I have to say is......ban this twat. Don't care what his other commitments are. Get back to your sticky armchair!

Was standard City.

The masses only join in with Blue Moon, Invisible Man and We Love You City.

Throat is absolutely fucked and head is aching from constantly trying to get things going at the back of the stand today. I don't know why so many are scared of singing whilst the match is going on; pre-match and half time everyone seems to be involved, and even when a player is receiving treatment we can be loud. But when it comes to SUPPORTING our players to give them a lift during the game there are only pockets of 20 odd scattered around the 3,000.

Swear it used to be different. Expectations, eh?
 
i was in the south stand in with the Mackems about ten feet away from the City fans and they created a good atmopshere throughout the game,was only towards the last ten minutes when the home support really upped the noise and that's because they battered us for that period of the game.

And what was being sung below the stand pre-game so enthusiastically? "Now you're gonna believe us - we're gonna win the league". Sing that after the game, maybe... Two other greatest hits sung during the game: the Ade song (when he's not scored more than Berbatov this season) and "Never felt more like singing the blues..." (we sing that when we win and United lose, not when they've won and we're still at 0-0....)

Was it just me thinking it was loud but nonsensical?

its like weve got to be battling relagation or in a lower division to have a good atmosphere also youd have thought with a chance of winning the league the atmosphere would improve

You have no idea what you are talking about! We were singing from the moment we arrived at the pub untill well after the final whistle. If you want to contribute why don't you do something radical and buy a ticket to come and join us. We were very loud yesterday
