Yeah exactly right! I was a ball boy for 3 years between the second to last season at Maine Road and finished at the end of the first season at Eastlands. The bloke who used to run the ballboys was called Derek a former scout who ran a junior Sunday team called Unicorn based in Timperley. It was half academy lads and the rest was made up of the blues on our junior team because a lot of the lads in the academy lived far away or were rags who were not interested. We used to get a free ticket, free gear and were always mingling with the players. They were great times and i will never forget them was a absolute privilege! Still look at for Derek at Eastlands doing the rounds while the players are warming up but never see him anymore, if anyone has any info on his where abouts or what he is doing would be appreciated!

these ball boys are the best city have ever had,theres been 1 or 2 hiccups but they are new,still learning,they"ll be alright once they settled in............
