Mind with Yaya & KDB
Whether Fernandinho's is better than Rodri is debatable, both world class. I think one of Pep's biggest mistakes was leaving Fernandinho out of the European Cup final v Chelsea. I'm sure we would have beaten them with him playing.I’m of the age where I grew up watching the Bell, Lee, Summerbee team. I always held firm to the view that Colin Bell was the best player I ever saw in a City shirt but in recent years I’ve started to question that. He’s still in my top 3 but nowadays I think KDB just shades it and Merlin is pushing for a top two spot.
Rodri is an absolutely brilliant player and thoroughly deserving of his Ballon D’Or but is he better than a prime Fernandinho? I’m not sure.
Yaya didn't really play holding midfield for us did he, always had a minder to do the dirty workHe’s not even the best holding midfielder we’ve had. Yaya Toure was stronger, quicker and scored more goals than Rodders. Yaya had everything and you’ll have to go a long way to find anybody who is better. Yaya was just a monster.
He also didn't mind kicking an opposition player who took the piss every now and again. One of my favourite memories of him is one of his later derbies when he took it on himself to boot one of their little shits. We’ve had a lot of phenomenal talent and at 42 years old it took a while before I’d seen greatness in the flesh in a blue shirt, apart from the great David White, of course. I loved Yaya and Kev is a wonderful, wonderful footballer who is probably the most effective player we’ve ever had, but for me, technical brilliance and vision I think David Silva edges it.
He could do everything, despite being tiny. That assist for Dzeko (you know the one) is the greatest control and pass Ive ever seen.
Criminally underrated in my opinion.
Would piss over United's. Not sure about Liverpool. Arsenal I agreeCity's all-time XI would be arguably better than Liverpool's and Arsenal's and comparable to United's.
Yeah, I was raised on the Lee, Bell, Summerbee video that I think was the curriculum for blues in the 90s and never questioned Bell being the best until SilvaWe're really privileged that these types of discussions are now a genuine debate with multiple really strong and deserving candidates.
When I was a kid, despite having never seen Colin Bell play I just readily accepted he was our greatest ever player and for years there wasn't anyone who looked like changing that. My Dad and his mates all to a man are still adamant the answe is still Colin Bell, which they're obviously entitled to believe.
I'm torn between a few players Aguero, KDB, Yaya and could make a case for another few. Rodri, in partcular now has a very, very strong case. If I had to choose one I would go for David Silva. He had some incredible moments for us, but he wasn't particularly a moments player. He dictated the pace of play, had time on the ball and rarely lost. He was just a wonderful player to watch aesthetically. That might not be something which is fair to judge a title like this on, but the debates are always going to be subjective and it's fairy hard to look at while someone is still playing. We're just very lucky to have seen these wonderful players, with hopefully more to come. Watch it and drink it in.
Bell3 ? I know of Sergio and Merlin, who’s the other one from the list ?

Rodri and it is not even close. He is the best midfielder to have played in the premier league.
KDb is the best attackimg midielder ti have played.
Haaland will be up there if he stays.
Kompany, Merlin and Yaya are also near the top of any ranking.
