One thing I've really noticed about Mancini is his insistence that his players follow his detailed instructions to the very minor detail. Just a thought.
And a good thought it is.
It is also the reason Jo is in the side.
BillyShears said:My opinion, our biggest weakness is a distinct lack of pace in our 'attacking' players. To play Mancini's way effectively at the Emirates, OT, etc. you need to pose some sort of a threat on the break, but without pace, it's difficult to do, and you end up defending for large parts of the match. Of course that in itself, with our squad's ability to defend, isn't that big a deal, however when I look through the top squads in Europe it's something they all have, possibly with the exception of Chelsea...

I agree but who do we drop?

Good post. I'd say we're the slowest team in the league.
It's one we kind of work around with the short passing game but I've been banging on all season that we need a plan B against teams who defend.
That plan B for me should be overlapping/getting behind the line on the flanks, and whipping balls in the box. Dzecko appears to solve half that problem, but SWP is the only attacking player with any pace who can penetrate on the flanks. His confidence is down and he's not getting games which excaberates the problem.

Greetings Billy... good to meet you.
I agree but we do have some pace.... Yaya Toure is really quick out of the blocks and I think he utilises it well from the mid field, plus Ballotelli has a few quick yards in him too. Not sure we can accomodate another striker along with
Tevez, Ballotelli and Dzeko.....
Interesting times though.
