Our expectations to Robinho

The only criticism I would have of Robinho is the longer he hangs onto the ball the less he seems to do with it. Sometimes you just want him to run down the left flank and put a decent cross in, but he just doesnt want to do that! He hangs onto the ball out wide starts doing pedaletas and all momentum of the attack is lost.

He does his best work when he gets the right support and movement around him.

Ian Wright says the most important lesson he ever learnt at Arsenal was that you should never give the ball away in attacking positions. I think if we are going to step up to Top 4 and European football we are going to have to demand more disciplined football from all our forwards.
I agree with this... well at least most of the time... he needs to be quicker on getting the ball passed on and stop dribbling... but he still has so much worth to us in that he takes away defenders and open spaces up for others in our team... i think he is the best player we have... and his value is immense just by being there...

Speaking as someone who was in the crowd last night:

There is no doubt that he has great ability, and he can produce magic - which is why he probably should start every game for us.

However - I thought he was pretty poor at times last night - his positioning off the ball was shite more than anything (and misplaced some simple passes) - obviously you can't pick it up from the cameras, but there was time when he was just standing about, not getting wide enough to spread the defence (or getting on the right backs shoulder looking through a through ball), nor getting in field enough to collect the ball.

I thought the team were bollocks in the first half - but when you watch it back on TV it makes us look better than we were (or at least how I thought we were).
