If we finish 2nd I'll be gutted, absolutely gutted. We had this title in our grasp and we've let it slip through our fingers.

Some might say we should be first now. If Fulham had been given that penalty, the mood on this forum would be completely different. We can't fight bad decisions.

Spot on.

That's without the rest of the gifts they've had.

Without help theyre gone. It's all about city now.

United have had game changing decisions that were wrong that amount to 18 points in the last three months. Kind of been an on running joke between me and a rag who said refs don't favour them. Even he, a dyed in the wool Stretford lad, now admits that there is something fishy. It's every single game now.

But... But... They're supposed to even themselves out over the course of a season aren't they?

I mean, Newcastle shouldn't have had that penalty, and jonny Evans was sent off...

;-)

Hehe.

There's a point in here somewhere though as drawing equality between any two incidents is pretty much bullshit. For example, Balotelli on Parker is probably equivalent to Young diving as they were pivitol moments which changed the game.

However, these even itself out brigade never take the context into it. Not getting a penalty whilst been 3-0 up is not evened out by getting a dodgy pen at 0-0.

The running total is only incidents that potentially changed the game. Youngs dive for example forced Villa to try and get something from the game, instead of sat back and hitting on the break. Murphys pen would have given them the lead, same with Defoes goal. Those types of incidents, these are the ones that United get more than every other team.

There's a dodgy website out there called Debatable Decisions which idiots are using that totally misses this point.

Are we officially top 4 yet? Who have we dislodged if so? Will the media confirm this? Does anyone else love upsetting the applecart? Finishing 2nd puts a rocket up the arses of so many people it makes me giddy. Going on to win it would blow them sky high and would make me have an accident in my Tesco jeans.

Mancini out; it's not progress. With our resources the Eurovision Song Contest should have been a minimum.

Monday nights is darts night. I am full of the beautiful Bow and apologise in advance.

Darts night? How did Balotelli get on?

I did read the whole thread n apologise for my sarcy comment. However I do actually think that the title of the thread does a dis-service to your season. Your owners/manager/team have guaranteed you your best league finish in 35 years - why demean their achievement (intentionally or otherwise) by using the premier league as a barometer. It annoys me no end ti constantly hear talk (from both media and fans) of records that only relate to the last 20 years of top flight football. No offence intended..

Half if not most of you cunts wouldn't know the last time you came second if asked

Err, err, err season before last??
