Our Owner in London ?

He said he's met the Sheikh and he obviously has - 2 weeks ago, in direct contradiction to Cook's bullshitting about the spurs game.

This is starting to piss me off a little.... Cooke and Mancini both agreed that Mancini met the owner and Kaldoon in London 2 weeks ago, to "talk about football in general" then Cook agreed that the topic did come up about "what if" the manager situation at our club but it was in (again) general terms. However, then he said they spoke on the Thursday after the Spurs game more in terms of, would you be interested in taking the role as Hughes is being sacked! Deal agreed the Friday, Hughes sacked the Saturday. This is nothing new in business, it happens every day in football, and the corporate world. My other half does it for a living, she head hunts for people like O2, Bupa, Barclays, etc etc. She appoaches a candidate earning £150k for company "x" and offers him £200k with a nice merc, benefits etc with company "y" before the person in the same role in "y" is even aware they are for the chop! Cruel world but it's how high level business works, and like or not City are a high level business. As they say shit happens.

To be fair to the guy though, most the City fans still can't differentiate between The Sheikh and Kaldoon, and English is their first language.

The Chairman is Kaldoon and The Sheikh is the owner.

But for someone who turns up straight away and has to understand the difference, especially in a different language, must find it confusing.

Well then those fans are either blind or stupid. The chairman wears a suit, glasses and looks like a business man. The Sheikh wears traditional Abu Dhabi dress and looks like a member of their Royal Family. The difference is there, if you look closely.
They both wear traditional Abu Dhabi dress when in Abu Dhabi. There is not much need for cool clothing in Manchester, hence the suit worn by Kaldoon when he is in the UK

Listen, City made the decision to change manager weeks ago.

If you believe that the decision was made after the Spurs game you're naive.

I'm not bothered. I would expect them to get a new man sorted before plunging the club into chaos. I'd much rather it this way than having no manager and endless speculation over christmas.

But that is my point, Khaldoon is the one who has been in the media for us and at the stadium, which was the question raised by the OP. If we want to get right into it though, Khaldoon is speccy, whereas the owner isn't. They look fook all like each other, other than the colour of their skin then, in other words.

Just need a little help in clarifying whether or not our owner has actually been to a game yet ?

Some doubt in my mind from yesterday's press conference, where Mancini said he met the owner in London.

Anyone know if this was Sheikh Mansour or was he getting mixed up with the chairman, Khaldoon ?

Thanks in advance good buddies.

Apparently they met in Burger King at Terminal 5.

Mancini had a Whopper value meal and Khaldoon had the same.

Very good twinkletoes, i see your grief hasnt blunted your wit ;-)

It's not the first time he has been caught in there

Just to add to the confusion but hopefully not ... as I undertsand it -

The Owner is a Sheik and is called (for short) Mansour

The Chairman is a Sheik and is called (for short) Khaldoon.

Now as I understand it ... Sheik Mansour is the Ruler of Abu Dhabi ... and heads of state do not make a habit of popping in to London to meet wannabe football managers ... the idea that The Owner was in London two or three weeks ago seems pretty implausible ... he would have been at Number 10, Buck House and the Bank of England maybe offering to bail out UK PLC ... not meeting Roberto in a nice Italian gaff for a bowl of spaghetti.

I would have thought that most journalists would realise all of the above ... but hey ho - they don't......!!!!!

And pretty soon Roberto will understand the difference too.

Merry Christmas All

Yes. As we've already said they were ditching Hughes at the end of the season anyway but something obviously happened to accelerate the process.

Spot on, unfortunatly, a few on here live in a world of fluffy white clouds and perfect rainbows.

Hughes will get his next job in the exact same way!
