However we have an ageing and poorly balanced squad. We have to buy and strengthen to be number one just in the EPL, never mind the CL.
We can't play to get the best out of Erling, because we are slow at the back and in most areas of the pitch. No.ovrrlaps on the wings when attacking has been missing for two seasons. We can't buy everyone, but we have a weaker squad than last season and this has been a trait for the last two seasons. This has been offset by some superb performances from a core of 9 players. But they are getting old and todays team was simply poor and not good enough on the day. Ake Kyle and Akanji are no longer good enough, injuries.age, or both have took its tool toll.
The youth team has produced several decent attacking players, hopefully it will produce more.

It's quite a common saying for older City fans that "this is the best time to be a supporter of the club, one day it will all go away". Well, we'd best make hay while the sun shines. We have to win a CL now, we need to retain the PL now, we need to win every pot and pan we can get our hands on now. And if that means scrapping players who don't want to be here or even disposing of managers whose ideas have gone stale, than so be it. We did it with Mancini, Pellegrini, Tevez, Sterling, Cancelo.

In fairness football supporters and well thought out isn't a description you will hear often, people are people some very negative some stupidly positive and most somewhere in between.It’s a forum, it’s subjective in the main, which is fine, that's what fan forums are all about, the Ill thought out and wumming comments are not difficult to spot mate ..!
