Ousmane Dembélé

I wasn't making a direct correlation, merely responding to a previous post.

I think we sometimes salivate over a player who seems exciting, but I think Pep values technical ability and vision more than anything else, because they are almost unteachable. He speaks of a team of midfielders, because they are the players that live with their head on a swivel, have to learn to protect the ball but also make killer passes, and usually have the best technical abilities of any players in any squad.

It's an opinion that I believe has been borne out by his own words and actions in filling the squad with attacking midfield talent full of skill. Whether Dembele fits that bill or not is probably irrelevant, because someone said it was all bollocks further up the thread. As always with these things, I will believe it when he holds up a City shirt with his name on it from the cushy heated seats in the Etihad Directors Box!

I understand you were replying, but finishing is supposed to be a weakness, yet Raheem scores the same, already, in the Prem.

I think Dembele is a very exciting talent, but Raheem in his own way, does the same, in the Prem & has a better pass success rate for England, than Dembele does for Dortmund. In fact I think Joleon Lescott does.

I think we have a tendancy to go wildly over the top with new toys & disrespect what we have.

Another transfer rumour which seems to make no sense. We already have 4 young talented forwards around the same age, why we would sign another is beyond me.

Don't buy this at all.

Thought quite a few of his out to in runs, often found by Silva, were very intelligent in the second half of the season.
I would like to clarify that i think they are both extremely intelligent for their ages. I think that sterling is smarter though, sane is often found losing the ball needlessly. Still, fantastic players, both of them.
