Just a quick question.. Is there an element of the city following who doesn't welcome support from outside Manchester particularly overseas and Ireland? Or is there just so little between their ears that they consider all Irish citizens to be bomb throwing terrorists? I am referring to some fuck the IRA and fuck Dublin chants/songs on the bus out to the ground which I guess we're triggered by the overhearing of Irish accents, supported city for decades and find this behaviour disgraceful

I had someone chant USA, USA to me once. I'm not American so they probably weren't the brightest. Only time the issue has ever come up except for forums.

Maybe the price of Guinness had gone up at the stadium.

I usually find we're quite a good mix of backgrounds, probably most clubs are, however at a game once I witnessed someone with a London accent being told .. "Fuck off you cockney, shouldn't you be at White Hart Lane".

Can't say I've ever had a problem when coming over to games. Then again, having spent my first 20 years in sunny Manchester, I don't really have an Irish accent to speak of. But I have heard various comments/chants that are sickening. Then again, every club has it's share of dickheads supporting them; why would we be any different?
