No idea mate, sure someone will advise you though, my terraced has a stone chimney but we all have our own, were posh round here :)

Tell him your going to be selling and don't want any work doing that might affect the value of your property.

Speak to a party wall surveyor. I would not be taking it out.

WW is right it will put a limit / restriction on your property at some point in the future.

Ask him what permission he had to do this, building regs etc.
If he has done it cowboy style then I personally would be seeking legal advice.

That’s chimney that Fred built at 16yr Old is unbelievable.. The Brickies where I work have trouble building door openings plumb & level.
