He wasn't going to oust either Walker or Danilo next season so what other option was there?

Agree with everything said re buy back clause, seems to make sense, given size of academy not all players will be top drawer and gives us a usefull income as well as giving the players a footballing career elsewhere, with the proviso, that if they do become top drawer they can always come back.
