Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is reportedly on the verge of joining Manchester City for £11.2m plus performance-related bonuses.

Roma have been in negotiations with City for several days and on Sunday evening rumours swirled around the Italian media that a deal was close.

Manchester City’s proposal now appears to be €13m cash (£11.2m), whereas the Giallorossi have set a €15m (£12.9m) price-tag on the Italy international.

It is believed the deal can be struck if City add a further €2m in performance-related bonuses.

Roma would then reinvest that money in the Premier League by snapping up Manchester United winger Nani.

Osvaldo is on the market after publicly insulting then-Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli following the Coppa Italia Final in May.

The 27-year-old has a history of fiery behaviour, including an incident when he punched teammate Erik Lamela, and scored 16 goals in 29 Serie A games last season.

He is eager to come to Manchester City, as he’d reunite with his former Espanyol manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Providing he knows his role in the squad then it could be a decent signing and for the alleged fee it is not a too bad price.

Ya what now?

sorry...looks like the report was posted twice at the same time! 11.2mil seems a fair price. I know he's got mixed reviews but atleast we are not overpaying?

thanks

SkySport reports that the offer from Manchester City for Osvaldo is 14 million plus bonuses, the Rome I would like 15 or 14 but with higher bonuses to get up to 18 million in total and to complete the sale of the Italian-Argentine striker.
