Pablo Zabaleta's popularity

Be surprised if there isn't a city fan who doesn't love Zabba. He's a superb professional.

I think another reason his stock is so high with us Blues is the way in which he has made Manchester his home, and actually been bothered to learn the language unlike a certain other former team mate of his. I'm glad to see Sergio seems to look up to him from that point of view as well.

I bet, like the rest of us, he's revelling in being PL winner. His commitment to us is second to none.

I've considered my sexuality because of Corazon de Leon

It's the clear joy he takes in it. You always get the feeling he can't quite believe his luck and that he's having the time of his life. He's one of those players who's become a Manchester City fan while playing.

Zabaleta has never really been off the Hispanic radar. He had been to 2 world youth finals, winning the second one with the u20s. He was skipper in a squad that contained Biglia, Garay, Cardozo, Gago, Messi and Kun. He then went to Espanyol having also won the Copa Sudamericana (UEFA cup) with San Lorenzo. Even at Espanyol he got to the UEFA final losing to Sevilla on pens.

Yes he plays in an unfashionable position that is usually overlooked when looking at South American players and he had the usual teething troubles adapting to England. Make no mistake though, he was an excellent prospect, the surprising thing is we nabbed him and manage to get him to flourish.
