guessing im the only one who thought he was superb as well as everyone else in phoenix nights

PN was OK but like Morrissey once said 'that joke isn't funny anymore'.

For a small time period in 99-01 it was amusing to see comedians shouting 'BULTON', 'FISH N T'CHIPS' but it got old very quickly.
for me PN is one of the great modern comedies alongside partridge and the office. love it.

2 out of 3 ain't bad ;)

Each to his own, I sort of enjoyed PN but it never got me like the other 2 shows you mentioned, both of which I could put on at any point in the day and still get a laugh from them.

Loved Phoenix Nights, and he was OK in it. But otherwise I just find him annoying. Mind you, talent is not a necessity to be on daytime TV.

Watched it with my nan just before laughing when they didn't know what the jamaican food was

Oh and yeah he's a shit presenter but ok on "take me out"

No-one else think Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere was a brilliant show then? And he is the perfect presenter for Take Me Out. Would not see him doing stand-up though, I reckon he would absolutely bomb.

Her name is Christine Martin
