Palace (A) Post Match Thread

we were not at our best, but hardly shite.
Leroy was less sane and more navas today, but the whole team were below par.

Punchon is a **** and moss a fucking joke.

Still Eddy you fuckin star, still unbeaten and I will take that.

Also it's pissing down here in norwood which is bollocks as I wore a wool coat ;-)

Forget the result or the unbeaten record for a moment I think our form has been dipping for a month or more. Whether its tiredness ,the cold weather ,pitches not sure but the swashbuckling City of October/ November has fell off. Too much time spent passing across our back four while the forwards stand double marked. Today I thought our defence did a great job but their effort wasn't matched by the likes of Kun,Sane,Gundy & Silva. The lack of movement and piss poor passing meant we created very little and were wasteful with the few crumbs we got. Going forward the games are still coming thick and fast so a few new faces might help and then the return of Stones ,Mendy??????
Last Season I would have been worried.

Coincides with Stones being out for me. He pushes us forward quicker. Saying that we raised our game against Spurs and the rags and got over the line in the others. We didn't deserve to win today though. Draw was fair

Palace played well and their fans create a good atmosphere. First half was even but I thought when Sterling came on and silva was moved to the middle we dominated and were unlucky not to take the lead. They had 2 good chances with Townsend and the non penalty. I thought apart from a dodgy start from ederson and Walker the defence was good with mangala excellent again and otamendi outstanding.

My only concern is obviously with injuries and puncheon getting away with blue murder. As we are not allowed to say on here what we are thinking we will have to make do with his yellow card I suppose. With luck KDB will only be out for a couple of weeks which will be a blessing in disguise, in this era of rotation and resting players we have worked the lad to death.
