I'm reading that to mean that you can think Israel treats Palestinians like Hitler treated the Jews without being antisemitic. Seeing that lots of Jews think that, that makes sense, and it also means no-one really believes the Israeli claim that anti-Israel or anti-Zionist equals antisemitism.

Where have you been all this thread?

What are the boundaries of the Jewish state that you're asking about? You've already claimed the West Bank and bits of Syria. Likud originally claimed Jordan (and still would). Lebanon, bits of Iraq and Egypt. What are your territorial ambitions? What is your final solution for the Palestinians? (OK - for the people who lived there before the Zionist colonisation.)

You really want everyone who thinks Zionism was a mistake (a majority of Jews in the 19th century and plenty now) therefore must think modern Israel does not have a right to exist. Do you really want the generation watching a genocide to be making that choice in 20, 50 years?

Amnesty International had observers at the palestine action protests at the weekend. They say that "police claims that the protest turned violent are a misrepresentation".

"Police officers, on a number of occasions, were aggressive towards supporters of the protest. This included violently shoving people away and pulling out batons to make space whilst protesters were arrested and hauled into police vans.

The scenes yesterday were a shocking demonstration of how the UK's overly broad terrorism laws are being used to suppress free speech."

The police would be using every power at their disposal to find the culprits who broke into an RAF base and damaged the planes, also other criminal damage the group are known to have committed.
Instead they are policing and processing almost a thousand OAPs who do not belong to the organisation and trying to secure convictions for protesting with a card

This one was intended to discuss what is (currently) a protest about a proscribed terrorist organisation (it seems more like a bunch of vandals to me, but it's not for me to decide).

The posts about what is going on in Gaza aren't really relevant in here (from either side of the debate), and should go in the dedicated thread.
