Doesn't it seem a little odd that a Jew walking around Manchester / Leeds / London etc could be threatened just because of what is going on a few thousand miles away? The unusual aspect of the Gaza incident is that Israel is part of the Western system. Opposing Israel means that you are, at the very least, opposing a part of this system.

Generally speaking, in the Western context, "opposing a certain government" is equivalent to supporting an opposition party. For example, if the Labour Party is in power, it means supporting the Conservative Party or some other left-wing opposition party. Throughout the evolution of Western political systems, interest groups have become inextricably linked to every political party available to voters. While elections appear to offer a choice of political representation, the reality for these interest groups is comparable to a restaurant diner selecting from a menu—regardless of the choice, the ultimate profit remains with the establishment.

In my view, the Labour government's strict stance on this issue is essentially about defending the system, or the establishment. The "establishment" mentioned here does not refer to the one opposed by MAGA or populism, but rather to the entire system. (Well, as a foreigner, I've done my best,I mean, the definition! ). The ruling class in Britain will adopt any harsh measures to suppress any group that threatens this system.

As for whether this is good or bad, I cannot really say. From the perspective of a revolutionary fighting for justice, there is nothing inherently wrong with the protests themselves. The majority of Jews in Israel have far less middle eastern DNA than the people they're trying to get rid of.
Not surprising as Jews have been living in various parts of Europe for 2000 years where no doubt they've interbred with non Jewish people.
