Paper p**ck

Re: Paper prick

To be fair it was a "schoolboy error" not knowing which score would take us through.

I was so proud of the players for their come back performance but for the management and players to not realise one goal would take us through was tragic.

We could be playing the second tier teams instead of the CL cream also BM would have likely taken out a big team if they had been relegated to 2nd place.

Our best striker was left sitting on the bench and we brought Rodwell on instead!

I hope the club doesnt convince MP to lie or cover up like Cooke did with the email.

Our club should be professional and admit there was a costly miscalculation with CL rules. Hopefully we will learn from this and move on?

I give up!

All agenda nonsense aside, what did you seriously think they would say in relation to that supposed gaff? If you thought the papers would ignore it then you are naive. It doesn't take anything away from the win for anyone, but of course they were going to pick up on it, they would whoever had said it from any club. That's what the press do.

I totally agree if course they going to report it personally don't give two hoots we can beat anyone in the next round as proven last night

Re: Paper prick

Its as if the actual match wasn't important though, Pidge. We've just done the champs of Europe in their back yard and the journos can't even bring themselves to stop putting the boot in. Do I think there's an agenda? No. Am I happy about the result? Very. Will I buy a paper from the offy? Never.

Re: Paper prick

Funnily enough Jeff "God's gift to football" Stelling said pre-game to his pundit ensemble of Carragher, Hoddle and Souness...

"City have to win by 3 goals tonight, so a 3-0, 4-1, 5-2 would do; can they do it?"

So it seems Sky are just as fucking clueless.

Me? Well I don't give a fuck as we beat Bayern in their backyard with, ostensibly, our second string.

What a result and the more they focus on that "extra goal to top the group debacle" bullshit, the more it reaffirms to me that they are scared to fucking death of us and we've got right under their collective skin.

Fuck 'em. Fuck 'em all I say.

I would expect that 'the gaff', had it been made by Tottenham, The Arse, MANUre, Swansea or even Wigan, would have been buried in an insignificant paragraph on page four. The ToryGraph has gone out of its way to turn the entire victorious evening into a glorious City cock-up. I am not surprised. I half expect much the same kind of thing were we to knock out Barca or Real in the next round. Some negative Rag slant would be put on it by the negative Ragloving Meedya.

I was listening to BBC five live as well as watching on Sky. Alan Green also didnt know one more goal was enough for about 10 minutes after we went in the lead. However its not much consolation to know there are many muppets who dont know the rules.

As a professional club that wants success in the CL, we need the very best.

I could imagine Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon watching the last 30 mins saying "go on boys just one more... we have 2 subs left and our best 2 strikers on the bench!"
That is what I was saying and when Aguero was not introduced I thought he must have had an injury!

We should also point out that we scored three goals with one forward on. And played from the 73rd minute to the 88th with two. It's not like we shut up shop.

Rodwell for Dzeko was not the "last throw of the dice" that most fans expected.

Most fans didnt like de Jong coming on when we needed a goal either.
