Paper p**ck

The only thing that has started to annoy me about this is everyone thinking its a full blown conclusion we would of won 4-2 had we put Aguero on!!!! Fuck me the accomplishment after our first 15 minutes was nothing short of remarkable and yet it turns out people regularly put 4 past Bayern at home

All agenda nonsense aside, what did you seriously think they would say in relation to that supposed gaff? If you thought the papers would ignore it then you are naive. It doesn't take anything away from the win for anyone, but of course they were going to pick up on it, they would whoever had said it from any club. That's what the press do.

Did you miss the first sentence that said the game 'ended in a farce'?

And if that's all this twat can base a full article on after a match like that, regardless of who is playing, then at the very least it's just piss poor journalism that spectacularly misses the point.

We should also point out that we scored three goals with one forward on. And played from the 73rd minute to the 88th with two. It's not like we shut up shop.
Rodwell for Dzeko was not the "last throw of the dice" that most fans expected.

Most fans didnt like de Jong coming on when we needed a goal either.
De jong was usually introduced to stabilise midfield, often prior to introducing a more attacking change. I am sure if MP had known we had needed only 1 more goal he would have used his one remaining substitute to bring in our best striker.
MP post match comments made it plain he thought we needed 2 goals.

That's my favourite post of the year. Magic.

Meh.

I am not interested in what ANY journalist says, I am proud today, proud of our team, proud of our fans and proud of our club.

The papers will be either re-cycling fodder, wrapping for our chips or lighting the fires in the next few days but our achievement will still be there for all to see.

Yes I am aware that H & S or Hygiene re-visited will not allow chips to be wrapped in newspaper now and that there are very few houses who light coal fires any more............... just stressing the point that they will be gone while we will still be aware of what our team did!!!

I agree it was remarkable and I was so proud. However hearing MP's post match cmments were very frustrating realising he didnt know we only needed one!

I love the fact that they're going as if it would have been an easy thing to score a fourth against Bayern.

A mistake that shouldn't have happened as management should have known the rules, so slightly disappointing but should take nothing away from what actually happened on the pitch.

The papers will always focus on the aspect which will give them the most drama, so that's just life - most people know to ignore the cretins that write articles which focus 99% on this and detracts from what we actually achieved, which is to beat the current champions of Europe on their own patch.

And to be honest, I'd rather bring on the teams like Real Madrid/Barcelona/PSG etc etc. Realistically, we aren't going to win the CL (this year) so I'd rather face up to one of the biggest clubs in Europe now and just enjoy the challenge, instead of the possibility of going out at the next stage anyway against a "lesser" team. Bring it on!

Who cares about the "fourth goal" when it now means that we will now probably play one of PSG, Barca, Real Madrid or Athletico Madrid.
I would have been disappointed to have played a weaker team away first and possibly lost the tie.
Now, we play at home first, could build up a healthy lead and off to Spain in March instead of February, in our shorts and t/shirts, drinking San Miguel in the Spanish sun.
Well done City for making this happen.
I didnt go last night,(did go last time) but great noise from our fans, well done to you all, hope you had a great time and lets raise the roof on Saturday.
