Better team until Messi scored, pretty much gave up after that. We’re going to have to rely on near perfect team performances to win games this season. Annoys me to keep saying it but we’d be unstoppable with a 30 goal a season striker.

Gonna go against the grain here and I’m sure loads will disagree but I’m not remotely upset by that game. We were the better team, created the better chances and will still be favourites to win the group with a home game still to come.



Another day we convert several of the chances and everyone wanks themselves silly about the perfect performance. They’ve scored 2 from 3 shots on target as it seems most teams do when they play us. Sterling and Bernie with criminal misses, but it’s a story we all know well.



If we were gonna have one bad result this week, tonight was the game which we could afford it most.

Totally agree, throw the exact set of circumstances together 10 times, we win 8.

My only concern is the players you’d expect to turn in tonight’s performance would do it more often.

No lack of effort or midfield quality, restricted them to nothing basically.
But sadly these days, if tonight’s front 3 play, goals won’t flow.

I thought Rodri was immense. Walker was brilliant also. I don't think we should get too hung up on this result. We just need to make sure we do the business in the rest of the group games.
