A lack of intensity with regards the build-up/hype, the consequences of it still being a group game between the two favourites to progress...

City have less motivation for a result after Paris cocked up in Bruges.

I also factor in physical fatigue from Saturday, the game this weekend being more important in the immediacy.

If there was something definitive on the line tonight then I would agree, City would have nothing to fear and Pep would probably not deliberating over playing Kev tonight.

Ahh I see. Yeah well I agree with all that but Pep will want to win and he will get the players up for it… though they should already be motivated to beat Messi Mbappe and Neymar coming off beating Chelsea.
It’s hard to turn it on for one game and not another. Pep will want to keep up the momentum earned from the last game.

Tuesday - Sunday is as big a break as we're likely to get all season.

The players are just getting into their stride after no preseason, they're good to go.

I'd expect a team very similar to Saturday, although I've got a sneaky feeling he might squeeze Sterling in somewhere.

IMO They certainly won’t be shocked by how we play.
They’re seasoned professionals who have all played at the highest levels, they know what it’s about.
Their preparation will having included watching our game against Chelsea and highlights of other recent games. They will fully understand that we’re a different beast to the the heifers they play in their farmers league and they will have been training with specific emphasis on playing against our style of football and nullifying what we do best.

If we beat them tonight it won’t be because they don’t know exactly what we’re about, it will be because they‘ve done all possible to prepare for it but they just can’t handle it.

Classic manager's problem. Two tough PL fixtures sandwiching a hard CL away fixture. How to handle resources? Give the CL game lower priority? Oh so hard for Pep. I have no idea what he will do or what the best course thru this period is. That's what we pay him for. Anyone complaining about the selections really needs to shut it. it is really tough decision, for me Liverpool is the priority but I know the club see different

I am perfectly happy with any type of draw on this one.

Will be much different game than Chelsea one, all Chelsea managed to create danger only with some long balls to Werner and Lukaku, but PSG's front three plays much higher and much more creative.

Would not mind Pep to go a bit more pragmatic on this one.I really dont us wanna get countered by PSG. Could be a game maybe for Rodri+Fernandinho together? We also need one runner Sterling or Torres upfront imo.

Dont lose and I am happy tonight but even if we lose in a close game, doesnt change much, 1st place would be still in our hands. Despite Leipzig was horrible defensively against us I can see them nicking a point vs PSG in 2 games next two rounds.
