Absolutely shitting it now. But that's the stage and level we are at now.
Surprised by the Ferny swap for Rodri. Maybe Pep was concerned by it taking Rodri a good 30mins to settle, and he thought Ferny knew best how to mark a Neymar or Verratti out of the game...
But still a bit of a surprise for me.
I stand by the fact that our best bet is to play our game and trust in our fitness levels to make something happen. They fell apart after 60mins. Get to the hour mark and we should see the same thing occur if we keep the ball and make them chase it. They rarely have 90minute games in the French league, in that they have the game won far earlier and can make changes.
But at this stage, you fight with all you have to get to 90mins and a lead helps you. We have seen Dortmund and PSG both fall off a cliff though late on in games due to how much running we make teams do. And hopefully we stick to that.
The only variable is if Pochettino comes up with something we aren't prepared for and conjures up a result because of it. He has had luck against City before and in the semi against Ajax where Spurs were dead and buried (away 2nd leg).... and PSG have been better away from home too... it is all to play for. What a bench we have though.
Nervous wreck me, but think/hope we will do the job!
Come on blues!!!
