Parking half on the kerb

Who would have thought doubling the size of cars might cause issues with parking?

In Japan, when you buy a car, even a second hand one, you have to prove that you have a parking space big enough for it, or you're not allowed to register it. But yeah, more adults living with their parents, people with tiny dicks having to buy a giant car to compensate, and workmen parking their commercial vehicles at home are all going to have an impact eventually. And when cycling is dangerous, and public transport is unreliable, poor quality and a rip off, more and more people need a car to get around.

Roads are for cars, pavements are for people.

Most of our streets were built before people decided everyone in the household needed a car each, fucking ridiculous how most street are unwalkable and practically single lane because too many cars exist parked on both sides and many half/half road and kerb.

Now it is the modern age and so peoples need for a car each won't change, what should be banned is this taking work vans/lorrys home and parking them up, the way companies like argos, mitre, british gas etc no longer have depots you pick the van up from, and so now you take it home clogging up residential streets. It should be banned, have a car drive to work pick up your van, as it was in the past.

Most of the time the van is used to pick-up/drop-off your work colleagues. Alot don't drive and don't want to drive because they get picked up. That's less cars congesting roads getting too and from work.

The problem on our estate is people refuse to use their garage for their cars. We use ours because we only have a single space for a car.

Most have double length spaces and they still park on the road no doubt because their garages are full of shite.

Boils my blood. Back to curtain twitching. Starmer out.
A lot of garages are tiny though. You might get a car in but you wouldn’t be able to open the door to get out. No idea why they built garages like that without proper width. But you are right in that they’re used as sheds most of the time

BBC as in the national broadcaster or the more mdern slang term?

Cycling on pedestrian free pavements is a sometimes necessary action, especially on tight roads with audi drivers passing you hugging the kerbside.
BBC national broadcaster, he hated it.

Urmston’s greatest dream was to catch a BBC broadcaster cycling on the pavement and then run them down.

The problem is, people aren't parking on pavements to be selfish twats, they're parking like that because if they didn't they'd block the entire road. If an emergency vehicle was trying to get down the road but couldn't due to a car parking wholly on the road, you can bet everyone would be calling him a ****.

Then, if you are preventing safe passage for prams or wheelchairs, park somewhere else. Simples

As a postman I take great pleasure in exercising my right to walk on the path. If a car mirror gets hooked in my bag or my bag buckles scrape the car accidentally I am not that bothered. One guy came out to complain at me for going too close to his car parked on the path and he regretted it hopefully.

I live near a school and the selfish twats kerb their cars on the grass verges ( not twice outside mine, they get told ). Last year just round the corner they made such a rut you could no longer do it without the undercarriage scraping the kerbstone. Council came and dug it up and tarmacked it. Quite a few have put wooden posts on their verges to prevent parking on it.

Fuck all wrong with it.

Consider yourself a lucky person if that's something you find affects you, far worse things in the world.

Consider yourself a **** if it affects you to the point of doing something in retaliation.

Walking to shop today, had to walk in road to avoid RAC man”s vehicle which he always parks full on pavement. Further up again walked into road while local farmer backed his sheep transporter onto his bit of a drive leaving his 4 x 4 full across the pavement. He regularly parks his tractor on pavement. Won’t be long before the pavements are wrecked. Feel better after ranted, but it is a problem for young mums with buggies, elderly not good on feet and people with mobility scooters.
