This is the thing with Partridge though, it's the small things to look for, like the fact he set up the chalk markings on the floor at the beginning of that segment to describe his thoughts, then did that ridiculous crouched waddle to the next floor graphic. It's not a sketch show, it's all about what he's doing and how bad he does it. Things like the accidental Jimmy Saville impersonation or the inadvertent nazi salute (although these two things came too close together in the show for me). A lot is repetitive but that is because Coogan will have the ending in place and will have written material to fill it out up to that point, but it needs to take a sort of natural course to it. There needs to be a time when Partridge and the audience think he's comfortable, when actually ...Was better that episode, just suffers from a bit of quality Control that chemsex bit was mainly bad.
Personally I think it's the best comedy character on TV since Del Boy, there's a lot going on.
