Not quite 'recently' but I renewed all my kids passports in April and had them in my possession within about a week of applying. A couple of days of that was fannying about trying to get them to accept the photos aswell.

Not really relevant to anything but how much of rip off is charging 2/3rds of the price for 50% of validity for kids?

It was better when you could get kids on your own, and it would last 10 years.

Good reminder this thread need to get mine renewed for Bodo now, I see it is free if you are 96!

I know a kid's passport has a few less pages but ultimately it's the same amount of work and time involved in issuing one, so the price difference seems reasonable to me.

How’s the passport situation these days? Has anyone done it recently? What’s the fastest time you can get it?

Renewed mine a month or so ago, did it online and got my new one within a week or two.
Which was nice...

Did it in September. I had my new passport 10 days after they received my old passport.
