Obviously not wishing to tempt fate but there's been a few news stories recently about people being turned away from flights to European destinations as they didn't meet passport validity entry requirements so I thought I'd read into it. I suggest anyone planning on travelling checks now as it can take quite a while to renew your passport if required.
Looking at the French gov and UK gov websites, your passport must meet two criteria:
I meet these requirements but only just so thought I'd pass this info along to anyone who might not be aware so you don't get caught short (either on the day if we get there or any future trips abroad!)

- Issue date must be less than 10 years ago (i.e. June ish 2012 or after)
- Passport must be valid for at least 3 months past your planned departure date (i.e. September ish 2022 or after)
