Pastore

I think a Sneijder move is imminent. I recently learned of ricky alvarez's (look him up) move to inter. Surely this is a pre-empted replacement for the departure of sneijder?

I think Pastore's move will certainly be unexpected though. I've gotta say, in the knowledge of the paragraph above (and Dax's comments above), we look the most attractive...

I can't understand why a Tevez/Sneijder swap can't happen?

Nah! RIcky Alvarez is a winger with a sweet left foot, and the guile of a Pastore. But he is not a natural centermid. Perhaps he will be converted, who knows. But whatever happens, I pray we don't end up with Sneidjer. I have a strange feeling he has hit his peak and is on the downturn.

-- Tue Jul 26, 2011 11:35 pm --

Yep I am banking on that unexpected :(

Pastore has his best years ahead of him but at 26,27, Sneijder's not bobbing on mate.

at the age they now are i'd take pastore over wes, both brilliant players but wes is bobbing on.

Lol, Wesley is 26/27. Tell that to Yaya toure (28). It's not sneijder's age at all. It's a question of who's more approachable+better.

of couse 27/28 isn't old but in terms of resale/ value pastore is the better buy, he also has the potential to be the better player.wes is sadly only heading one way, brilliant though he is.
i'd like pastore to keep chelsea at bay and wes cos the rags want him.
i can't win:(

Pastore would grace the Premier League with his silky skills but as brilliant as he is, and he is absolutely brilliant in his role of playmaker, I do not think that Roberto sees him as the answer to strengthen our attacking prowess

We need a Wesley Sneijder type footballer who can pop in 18-20 goals a season like Tevez.

I don't think Pastore has the potential to be better than Sneijder. I mean, next step above him would be Maradona, Messi and Pela like ability. Pastore isnt even close to being as good as Sneijder already is. He only has potential, and potential is a nice buff word thats easy to use. I rather take worldclass player who can carry his team now than a potential future world class player.

Someone just told me Palermos president has said they're looking to close a deal on Pastore in a matter of hours, any truth to this?

The quote I was given,

"I'll only speak after the sale: We're closing [a deal] now, it's a question of hours."

No idea where it came from, could be a load of balls.
