saw this lad play against Crawley last year in a pre season friendly. He looked about 12 years old but was clear the kid has talent. His style of play seems to be similar to that of Nasri, not blessed with pace but likes to cut in from left and looks to thread the ball through.

Don't mean to be a party pooper but I saw on Twitter that Roberts was on tour with Fulham in Portugal a few days ago. I think it'd be strange for him to then fly back and come on tour with us without anyone hearing anything about it first but hopefully I'm wrong

You can see him in Fulhams training video from yesterday.

City chase with Kop ‘n Roberts

MANCHESTER CITY and Liverpool are locked in another transfer tug-of-war — this time over Fulham’s Patrick Roberts.
Hardly seems like a fair fight

Liverpool is probably the better move in terms of playing time, but if he is already thinking about his next move he should steer well clear, given the treatment of Sterling in search of career progression. Hope we get the lad.

Hoping the Sterling debacle has put him off moving to Liverpool, although he may try negotiate a small release clause

The reality is we've really got to book our ideas up in terms of introducing players from the EDS into the first team more regularly.
We've seen loads of youth players go away on the pre season tours, plenty of appearances on the bench or getting half an hour in cup games but if we want to sign the likes of Enes Unal, Patrick Roberts and this lad from Lens, we need to show them there's a way into the first team.

Hopefully the chatter around Denayer, Iheanacho and Lopes featuring much more regularly this year are good signs.
