It's a great investment buying young British talent. Even if he doesn't make the first team, he should get top quality coaching and facilities.
Perhaps loaning out to another PL team until he is ready to challenge for the first team?

When I've seen him he's looked really bright and technically excellent, but still a fair way away from the physical level you'd need to play in the premier league (which is probably the main reason he hasn't got much of a look in at Fulham yet either, despite being technically better than those who do get picked). Scored a lovely goal against Portugals U17's last year where he dipped his shoulder past a couple and cut inside before scoring via a defelction, but he looked a City type player.

Him on one side, Barker on the other, with Bryan and Bryne in behind,we might end up being the future of british football at this rate ;) Shame we didn't pick up Ryan Gauld last year as well to complete that british midfield, but we don't exactly lack options in that area with Garcia, Pozo, Lopes and Ntcham. Future looks bright

How ? By being brilliant every week in the EDS or Youth team, like Barker, Ambrose, Boadu, Angelino, Maffeo, & 5 or 6 others have done all season & not even got 5 minutes in a cup game between them ? Sterling was already learning his trade in the Prem, & has a two year start.

How else would he have got into City's team, other than by impressing in the EDS ?

This is the paradox that none of them lot see mate.
