its all about the level manchester city are at and the size of the squad and at the moment he is miles away from getting a place in the squad
and the youth we have at the club in a couple of years time are a better level than roberts so i don't see a future for him under pep

the buyback clause will cover the club and the price tag we paid for him from fulham and maybe at mid 20s he could have settled down and found a level but even then i still think he is not going to be what we are looking for but would love to see him prove me wrong

No need for buyback in your case because he wont be good enough and will never come back.

On a side note, our academy players arent better than roberts was at that age, he was tearing it up throughout all youth levels like Sancho, why do you think City spent so much on an 18 year old academy player, theyve never spent that much before.

Honestly, it shows that you havent watched Roberts play regularly if you dont think he is ready. Has surpassed every obstacle in front of him. If he gets a chance he can be one of Citys best players in a few years.

even if roberts is given a squad number at manchester city this season i don't see him keeping out what we have or the people pep will bring in its simple if roberts was ready than why is there no club statement about him being a player at city and no number at the club shop for the shirt ???

what your missing is not the level roberts is at but the level manchester city are at and the 2 don't seem to be on the same level and for the youth i was talking about under the Sancho youth level and at under 17 with city being the best in england and yes Sancho looks a player but again will he keep out what we have in sterling sane jesus silva i just don't understand why city have to stock buy players like roberts and sancho when in real life the squad pep will build will have to be a level higher and on the world stage am talking about

ask yourself a player like sancho and roberts sitting on the bench all the time and getting 5 min if your lucky every 10 games is good for both club and player playing is the only way you can move forward and pep will know more than anybody else his job is on the line this season so will he gamble on them 2 i don't think he will

i like both sancho and roberts and if manchester and pep was not under pressure i think they both club have a place in the squad but pep and city will mean business nest season and i can see the best 17 players all getting game time and build a strong bond the other 8 in the premier league squad will be a mix of EDS and what we have at the club

I just don't understand or agree with what your saying or where your coming from here. Youth better than Sancho? He's virtually our best young player, we don't have better prospects in the U14, U15, U16, U17 etc. So not sure what your argument is on youth because it doesn't make sense to me.

Again, it's clear to me you haven't watched Roberts play at Celtic this season. He has it all to become one of our best, agility, dribbling, finishing, vision to make it at the top. If I was to give you a future outlook of the attacking squad after players retire etc it would be something like this:

Sancho/Sane------------------Jesus/ST-------------------Sterling/Roberts
---------------Kevin/Foden-----------------B Silva/Diaz
-------------------------------Gundogan/Garcia


The ST can be Unal or any other prospect here.

That can be a very high level squad for a very long time, and can be transitioned to from our squad over the next 3ish years.

Have a look at the goal he scored against us in the CL. It was an amazing world class goal. He should have had a pen as well. With proper refereeing he would have won that game for Celtic.

He's a better player than Sterling for a start. Maybe not as quick but has better ball control and can dribble and beat his man better, crosses better, he shoots better than most players in City's squad never mind Sterling and he has the intelligence to play an incisive pass. He often sets up other players with passes from midfield.

And he's tough and he doesn't hide. Suffered a potential leg breaker early in the cup final against Sevco. Brushed it off and played a great game.

Celtic won't buy him, they haven't got £25m and he's worth that at least.Pep is going to look at him pre season. If he gets in the squad Sterling will be saying goodbye before long.
