Rodger's really is an odius c*nt. Done fuck all when tested at at the highest level, but now see's himself as the fountain of all knowledge because his team are a couple of points clear in a one team pub league
If his captain hadn't slipped, an action over which he had no control, he would probably have been a premier league winner.

That's the funny view and always good to remind them, however the truth is, if he'd been able to keep a lead at Palace, the last game would have come down to matching points and then who could score more.

Also worth reminding Chelsea and Maureen that after Chelsea beat Liverpool, they were actually top yet finished 3rd and never got the stick they should have because of the mourning of the loss of Liverpool's title

Chelsea were second after they beat Liverpool, but we had a game in hand on them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/27092978

We won the league by two points. Despite Gerard's slip Liverpool did not score. The best they would have achieved is a draw. We would still have won by one point. But don't let the facts get in the way of a peddled myth. A myth supported by the RAG and dipper media so that the narrative becomes City did not win the title.. Liverpool lost it.

It's all ifs and buts which is why I said probably, but I suspect had they not needed to make up the goal difference they wouldn't have lost their heads against Palace from a winning position.

No way City should be trying to convince him he has a future at the club in the short term. That would be just lying. Foden made the bench on Saturday because there was a spare slot. That puts him ahead of Roberts in the managers opinion. Foden only made the bench because Gundogan and Mendy weren't available. If everybody is available then City can't put any youngsters on the bench unless they do it at the expense of senior pro's.
Roberts has to leave or go on loan for this season at least. It doesn't mean City have ruined his career. Possibly the opposite because they may have opened doors for him that might not have happened at Fulham.

Roberts was a known 'hot property' at Fulham & City stepped in ahead of, well just about everybody & bought him for decent money.

Foden was here last season & both him & Diaz were involved with the first team, so Pep knows them better. If the 3 of them went to Celtic today, I'm not sure those two would necessarily outperform him there, in fact my money would be on Roberts in the short term, he has more end product for senior football.

But they are younger, & he hasn't spent a year with Guardiola like they have, he's spent it with Brendan Rodgers.

If we decide we donn't want him, we should sell him. If & when he was to come back, there will be even more players in front of him.

My point wasn't really about Roberts ability in relation to others, it was more to do with his perceived standing in the squad. It's going to be extremely difficult for him to become a first teamer at City. I can understand why he wants to go back Celtic, it's a huge shop window for him to display his talents.
