would have been a better choice this season for manager than pellegrini who should have been sacked last season

what had we to lose other than the league cup and with the EDS players there would have been more youth players coming into the first team than just 1. ok not been a manager before you say well pep at barca worked in the youth side of things and was given the chance so I don't see that stopping him at city. Patrick Vieira the player just about won everything in football so knows the game inside out so I don't see that stopping him getting the job

the only thing I think was stopping him is doing a damn good job at it and city would have to keep him and change there minds about pep taking over next season the board know it would have made sense to promote Patrick Vieira up the ladder and work with bringing the youth players into the first team that he built in the last couple of years but they knew the deal that city had with pep coming. for me now Patrick Vieira will be the arsenal manager in 2 seasons and will be a very good manager and win the silverware and titles and city will be again left with egg on our faces

Have you seen New York City play this season?
Took the words out of my mouth.
If anything, I think sending Vieira to New York was one of our better decisions.
If he struggles, then he struggles, but if he adapts, and thrives, then he might prove himself as a long term replacement for Guardiola.

what about pellegrini losing 4th place this season how damaging our long-term plans can it get
Yeah all we can do is hope Khaldoon, Txiki, Soriano (who has done a magnificent job for us btw, he just also can have a big say if he wants to make a point) realise the massive mistake in thinking stop-gap, yes-man Pellegrini everyone matey whilst it all goes tits up was a major mistake.

Also bear in mind Neville's failing, someone who gives the impression, no, obviously has the footballing intelligence you'd expect to make a good manager - Viera gaining experience elsewhere first is the best option if we intend to make him a success here.

Not all stop gap managers are bobbins. Hiddink has done brilliantly in his two spells at Chelsea. I would have been happy to see him given the last season at City
