If it's 20mil, it's not a big gamble at all. There's a real shortage of gettable, consistent goalscorers and he'd add a lot of pace to a sometimes sluggish attack. No-one's saying he'll replace Aguero, but it's a sensible and fairly low risk signing. He could turn out mint.

And at least equally as important, he doesn’t have that nob-end Raiola as his trouble-causing, move-stirring, multi-million pound fee-on-top-of-the-fee agent either.

Plus he can play in any position in the attack line. A shrewd purchase that could just turn out to be the bargain transfer of the January window.

Foden Daka Torres for 40mil total would be some great business, and if he made an instant impact, could give us a real lift. We miss KDB, Laporte and Ederson pinging balls to Sane and countering at pace. That was our nuclear option. Aguero's legs are going. 20mil would be a bargain.

That’s true and we need a third striker aswell .

It's not that easy though, Haaland may not be possible to get.

Exactly. I’d get him and still go for a main striker in the summer, this lad looks like he can play wide or central.
 
There’s a lot to like in the videos he’s certainly interesting. It’s hard to judge because he’s just so much faster than everyone he’s playing against, he’s overwhelming them with his pace. Probably my biggest concern would be ball control. It looks like the ball is out from his feet too far and a lot may not come off against better competition. Our strikers have to do so much to control passes in tight spaces there isn’t a lot of opportunity to push the ball into space and go run after it

Sterling gets the goals in and his control is probably worse than Daka's.
 
He will gel amazingly if we revert to wide wingers just like our 17/18 system. just imagine a front three of Torres, Sterling and Daka. All three extremely rapid. Excellent for Foden and KDB to pass to. If we can get him for 20 mil, I think we should go for him over Haaland and his rabid manager.

Very similar to our 17/18 lineups with Silva for Foden and Sane for Torres.

Can you imagine some of the crap some of our commentators would come up with, it would be comedy gold! Even with David Silva they kept referring to him as Villa for several years.

does he have a buyout clause and is our interest reliably reported?
