Paul Mariner RIP

Top player, had a bit of finesse about his play, which suited Ipswich as they were a good passing team. Always thought he would have been goog playing for us.
Always came across as a likeable person as well.
RIP

Sad news, he was a good player.. although I did notice towards the end of his career he turned into the centre-forward who spent his time marking the opposition centre-half.. (..especially when playing for England!!)

RIP, was at school when Paul played in his prime, last seen him on ESPN, he always had a good word on how City played football.

Liked the bloke during his paying days and was a decent analyst on ESPN with a sense of humour who could take the mickey out of himself.

RIP Paul always sad when you go before your time but I am sure you packed a lot into your life and your family will be with again in the full time of time.

From an era where i could name every player from every team and obsessed about England, particularly Spain 82.

north west lad and made the most of his career by being a battling, hard centre forward

RIP

Bloody hell just saw this and it came as a shock I can tell you - RIP Big Fella - proper English Centre Forward as they used to say - I imagine after a game marking him you knew you'd been in a game.

Very sad news.

He made his name at Plymouth, alongside Billy Rafferty, and their goals were instrumental in Argyle gaining promotion to Division Two in 1975.

He is obviously much better known for his time at Ipswich and for his international career.

Gone much too young.

R. I. P. Paul.
