He wasn't on his own,remember Phil big nose Thompson who said that football had gone mad on spending £60 000000 on KDB. Fucking clueless the pair of them.
 
A dangerous obsession with our Club is the only thing between his two ears.

Unfortunately the turds at SKY exploit this condition in the name of “entertainment”. When they’ve had enough of him, he’ll be dragged out of the studio still frothing at the mouth about us.

I hope he gets the help he needs to combat the obsession.
 
I like us being under-the-radar.
It has allowed us to slowly integrate all the new players without the microscope-in-hand punditry we became used to when anything other than winning was unacceptable.
In my view, we are not 'there' yet, but we are on our way, and some players are showing major improvements - Nunes and Gonzalez especially.
Now that everyone is returning to fitness, we have a serious squad of players to choose from and keep injury free and fresh.
 
If it was any other team it would be nothing but non stop praise for Haaland but considering it's City they're using the fact that we have the best striker in the world to push the false narrative that City are just a one man team.
 
If you compare the current city side to our title winning sides over the last decade , we are not a top team .
However by that logic with the exception of the invincibles and maybe the odd rag/chelsea / dipper season no other teams in the history of the premier are top teams .
That is the problem we have set such a high bar , the inevitable drop off makes this city side hard to gauge and only time will tell .
Paul merson however is not the person to give the time of day with in regard's to this conversation .
I say this as a shit biased pundit rather than his battles with drink/drugs .
 
Are Arsenal better than us at the moment? Yea probably, just overtaken us for the first time in about 15 years. That does not mean we arent a top team you knob. Celebrated a last minute equalizer at home against us like a cup final winning goal. Try winning some trophies.
 
Why do people get upset about comments from these so-called pundits?

A complete waste of time and energy IMO, and result in exactly the outcome they hope to promote.

Ignore cunts like Merson and all other braindeads,and you will feel better in the long run.

We live in an era where anything written or said that is negative to your club is documented and put in a dossier.

Once someone has said something derogatory against your team, their view is then negated and the list of previous things that have been said is listed.

Without the best goalkeeper in the world, the best striker in the world, one of the best defences in the league, the best midfielder/player in the world, the best English player in the league, and the best manager of his generation and to have ever done it in England, City would be challenging for a top four place.
