That's how deschamps started the tournament and they were shit. They were playing that way when Ireland nearly knocked them out - and would have with a bit more luck and better finishing.

Then he changed to Pogba being deeper, and they played brilliantly to beat Ireland, Iceland and Germany.

At the end of the day, Deschamps tried Pogba in his normal role and the team played badly. He moved him into a deeper holding role and although Pogba was worse off for it, France were better.

When we were interested last year wasn't there a huge issue with how complicated the whole deal was - both cost-wise and sorting out image rights and all that stuff? Hence, the discussions dragged on for several weeks. Now I'm not saying United definitely won't end up getting him but surely if they want him they're now facing exactly the same intricacies in trying to get the deal done and therefore it would never take just a week to start and conclude yet the way this has been reported in various media outlets it's like the whole transfer is a piece of piss to sort out.

I'm a KFA but I can imagine that the fun will really start now.

So far we understand that he wanted Real, they baulked at the cost of the package and declared themselves out. United reported to not be fazed by the cost and want to give Mourinho every assistance in getting them back to the top despite it contradicting everything they ever preached to us and Chelsea.
Now it's supposed to be a straight choice between them and staying put, which suggests to me that the Rags will try to drive the price down or include some surplus players like Mata or Darmian as part of the deal. If that's the case could Real come back to the table?
