Paul Pogba

If he went the rags now for 100m+ and he's a success Real would have to pay 150m+........ No chance they would pay it and rags wouldn't need to sell.
He's got a lot more of a chance of getting 2 big moves out of him if he goes to United from Juve, as opposed to going to Real.

The way the transfer market is inflating, £150million in 4 years time isn't that unrealistic.

Rag cafe is a sad place at the moment, the only ones in the race for Pogba, offering world record transfer fees and they still can't get the guy, good time for a meltdown for sure
It's quite obvious even to the most red eyed Rag that if they get Pogba, they'll be getting Real's sloppy seconds & a player whose gone there because the only choice at that money was to stick with Juve or twist & go back in reverse to ManUre.

They're the last ones left at the auction after everyone else as fucked off and even then it seems like they're still bidding against themselves. It must he killing them to know that they're the last club standing & they still haven't got the player. Real is where Pogba really wants to be, that much is obvious and I believe there is still a long way to go with this one.

aiola: ‘Pogba may not leave Juventus’
JULY 11, 2016
Despite reports of a deal with Manchester United, Mino Raiola says Paul Pogba may not leave Juventus.

A number of British newspapers have reported that a deal is in place for United to purchase the French midfielder for a staggering €120m.

Speaking to the Times, Raiola has reiterated Juve’s firm intention to keep the player in Turin.

“There is a lot of talk about Paul’s future, but maybe he will not leave Juventus,” Raiola told the paper.

“He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract.

“Paul is not desperate to move. We are very happy at Juventus and they are a club that want to keep their star players.

“Juventus have treated Paul exceptionally well. They are a fantastic club and they believe in him.”

I don't know why people are saying they're not bothered about him based on his performance at the Euros. Didn't he get player of the tournament at Brazil or something like that?

You judge a player off their club performances, where they train and work to a system most of the year, not a team they play with now and again managed by someone who doesn't spend most of the professional year with them.

Rags will pay what it takes, we've seen how desperate they've been in the past but now they don't have a manager out of their depth. Seems it's down to the player - unless Real come back in, it's rags (europa) long-term or stay at Juve and see what options present themselves in future it appears. If Real have genuinely balked at the money, I'd be surprised; they've splashed out much bigger sums than the rest in the past - e.g. Zidane, Bale, Ronaldo etc.

Saying that, he might be a good player but he'll never get close to Zidane.

Ha. Don't rate him based on his performance in one international tournament, but rate him on his performance in another international tournament.

His club performances like I've mentioned a few posts back isn't that flashy either worthy of £105m. 8 goals in 2016, 8 in 2015, 7 in 2014, 5 in 2013. Average assist per season is 5. Perhaps more form than function?

outplayed by Jan whatshisname last night as well. Muscled off the ball plenty of times. Saying that, midfield battler is probably not his best position.

Makes sense.

The proper clubs might be in for him next year.

I want the geriatricos to sign pogba now as his stats label him as average and the 100m offer for him is basically the rag gobshites showing off saying yoohoo look at what we can do. The top brass at the eye gouging arena realise that they're in the europa league and not the champions league don't they? I feel laurel and hardy will be making an appearance on this thread soon....

Pogba did not go missing!! He did what the coach asked him to do. How do you open up the Portuguese defence playing in front of the back 4? The commentators and pundits on BBC really ought to be a bit more thoughtful. Sissoko gets the leading role because he was the man who Matuidi and Pogba's defensive positioning was freed and tasked with charging at the Portuguese defence.

Clearly a lot of fans now know he's on his way to Utd and are busy rubbishing him. I think I will have to join up.

After 5 years of being No. 1 in Manchester and England we now have serious competition from Man Utd. Bring it on! Best season we have ever had was 2010-11 capped by Aguero, and so much of the joy / excitement was down to having genuine competition from our biggest rivals. It will be sweet again when we beat them. It's like Celtic v Rangers. Some of the excitement and tension disappears when they are not a competitor.

Get your heads around the fact that Utd are going to be title contenders or perhaps even title favourites if they make this signing. Whether they have overpaid or not, who cares. We certainly can't criticise them for that.

Are they fook. They have less than a handful of decent players, the rest are mediocre at best. This is not the first time you have proclaimed this, wonder why?

My opinion on Pogba hasn't altered one bit from this time last year, when we were supposedly in for him. I think the guy is class and unfortunately he'll improve them hugely, if he does go there.

Where I do have slightly "blue tinted specs" is I believe if he goes there, it'll only be for 3 years and I think he knows this as does his agent.
If we were in for him, I believe it would be for the long term and again I think his agent would have known that also!

Where both clubs differ and the proof is in the pudding with Aguero, Silva, Toure and a lesser extent Tevez, is we have every intention of keeping our true world class players for as long as possible. Not just getting them on a 3 year stop off. United for want of a better phrase are a selling club, they know it and more importantly so do players and the likes of Madrid!

I even think Madrid could be sat back now hoping the kid ends up at United, safe in the knowledge that they've got an excellent opportunity of bagging him in a few years time, when he's proven himself even more. If he were coming to us, they along with Barca wouldn't be sitting so comfortably.

The other thing I would add to that is that the scum need instant success and cannot afford to think about the long game at the moment, hence why they seem to be adopting a money no object approach. If (and I think they will) they fail to get top 4 again next season, then darker clouds will form around that shitheap of a club.
