Don't the media first change pounds in to euro's then quickly change the currency signs then add in the wages over the length of the contract?
Instead of £40,000,000 Sane is $200,000,000 or whatever he would be.
Not just the bbc stating 89 million but also the 1.5 million they got for him which i thought was 800k. Didnt Monaco accuse them of lying re transfer fees and threaten to release documentation to proove they spent more than they claimed. 100 million plus add ons plus 20 million agent fees is now 89 million lol. And of course wages reported will be after tax

The red spin is on full. Not only is the figure subject to daily deflation, but all the add-ons and agents fees seem to be missing.haha, the price tag has already gone down £11m to £89m in the space of 2 hours.
I also notice the press do not assume the 1euro=£1 exchange rate as they seem to when reporting some other clubs transfers.
Apparently the made up fact that he will be worth £40m a year in income is also 'news' worth reporting.
Desperate attempt to reframe the facts and rewrite his history at the swamp - and that's just the BBC!

A good player, but if we were paying £100m for Pogba I'd certainly be both disappointed and concerned. Simply put he's not good enough to justify that figure.

I wouldn't.. I'd be as excited as a kid at Christmas if we were getting this lad. Been hoping we'd buy him for 2 years now
Was hoping / expecting Madrid to make a move at the last minute but looks like that ain't gonna happen
Just hope and pray he's nowhere near as good as I think he is and that he flops badly or the price weighs him down, but I'm concerned he is gonna make them major title contenders
