Those figures are absurd. Even the "It's not your money" brigade have got to agree that paying out that kind of money for Pogba is ludicrous.

We could bring in Kroos, Kante and another top drawer player for that kind of money and their total wages wouldn't be a huge amount more than Pogba's reported 300k p/w demands.

If they do sign Pogba. Between him, Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan and Bailly, they've whacked nearly 40,000,000 on top of their yearly wage bill.

The spending is a sign that they are in trouble. Another year of failure will see their fickle foreign legion deserting in floods.

Well if both City and Madrid do not think he is worth it then somebody's judgement is at fault. And we will find out soon enough.

Bottom line. Pep is here to build a team with players playing for each other.

NOT a team of individual brilliance that will fester resentment at the wage structure being lop sided.

Short term the media will be gooey eyed over United's great transfer dealings. Probably say we were out thought.

Long term I suspect they may well have to change their tune.

But even if he becomes one of the top 5 players in the world for United, unless they win the CL in the next 2 years (as this year their chances are literally zero) then he will be in Spain before Pep leaves City.

Yep. Agree with that. His value to them is significantly higher than to us or Madrid.

I find it amusing that they're willing to massively overpay for players in a desperate attempt to rejoin the elite. Something they sniggered at when we were doing it in 2008-2010.

People keep talking about his skill and how he isn't worth the money. That guy is soooo marketable. He's hip, he's cool, he very well could be the next big thing. They are buying a decent player that has an amazing ceiling in regards to marketing and brand. He will make them money back easy. I know it's not fun to think about football in the "business" light, but he is good business.

Aldi was voted the best supermarket of 2015 - just saying.

Regarding Pogba, watching last night's match I did notice that when Germany had that dominant 30 minute spell in the first half I felt Pogba went missing. Personally I expect a bit more impact from a £100m central midfielder in those circumstances. No doubting he's a talented lad, especially going forward where he reminds me of Yaya at his rampant best but that spell in the first half would worry me if we were buying him for that price.

He was much more of a holding player until Kante came on and did that job well, when Kante did come on I thought he was great going forward.

Yes I know he was playing deeper than usual but I think we're going to disagree on how well he played in that spell, I thought he should have done more to disrupt Germany's grip on possession and territory.

If they sign him then they'll be favourites to win the CL this coming season.........100% guaranteed....

Just listened to city watch talking about the Pogba to rags rumoured transfer.....what we cant forget is, this would be a double, even triple hit against us....Not only could the rags get Pogba(one of the best midfield players in the world), it would also stop Real selling Kroos to us and it would also stop Juve selling Bonucci, as no way they sell Pogba and Bonucci this summer.....for all the above reasons, I'm hoping he doesnt go to the rags.....

What will be will be.

Pogba is class but its 1 player we have 4 or 5 class players who have seen it done it, going to be a class season.

Their fans are furious on twitter because Ballague said Pogba preferred Madrid lol. Hard to believe right? Preferring Real Madrid over them. Imagine that.
