He's a slight upgrade on Navas, but one would think there are better (and younger) alternatives out there available for a similar price. His fitness record is superb, though.

At the end of the season, in 5 years, he will be 32. That's not over the hill and would have given us 5 years. He's not too old by any stretch.

Manchester City have made a bid to sign Pedro from Barcelona, according to Sky Sports’ Spanish expert Guillem Balague.

Manchester United appeared to be in pole position to land the forward, according to Sky sources, but City have now made a move with champions Chelsea also monitoring the player's situation.

And Balague claims Manuel Pellegrini's side have come in with an offer matching Pedro's buyout clause - although another source has told Sky Sports News HQ that whilst Pedro's is on City's radar they are yet to make a firm offer.

Pedro isn't an out and out striker though. He's more of a winger who can get in the box occasionally. He'd be an alternative to De Bryune if we can't get him.

KDB impresses every time I see him play. Pedro doesn't of late.
