Luis Enrique: “Pedro has 2 offers from Manchester, I think he is attracted by City more.” [tv3 via reporter Joe Taylor]

Bahahahaha that is hilarious the rags must be absolutely fuming.

We lack a legitimate right-sided forward; Navas clearly isn't up to it, De Bruyne is more of a midfielder than an orthodox wide man who'll make the kind of run necessary to make a 4-3-3 work. Sterling won't be in top shape fitness or form wise over a projected 50 game season, and beyond him we have nobody else with that same impish skill-set. A wealth of Champions League experience, he'd make a bigger impact here than if he embraces Van Gaal's Stoke circa 2008 'Philosophy'.

Hopefully we can box this off, as it will also likely mean Pep is coming next year.

Are you a blue?

Always liked Pedro as a player. Would be a really good alternative if the De Bruyne deal goes tits up, not that I think it will. Just don't want to see Pedro playing at the swamp, would be their best signing by a mile this window if they bought him.

While KDB is obviously the preferred target Pedro would still significantly improve us (Sterling-Aguero-Pedro is scary) and save us a pretty penny if we wished to go balls deep for someone else.

He didn't seem to have any pace or ability to take on a man tonight. Seemed more tippy tappy.

Not how I remember him from a few years back.

Maybe it's just a one off but I not as keen anymore. Yes I'm fickle.

Is he capable of taking on, and beating, a man 'round the outside, instead of constantly turning back in on himself?

Yeah he's very direct, two footed can go outside or come inside, also a fantastic finisher, probably as good a finisher as most centre forwards. His goalscoring record for Barca is incredible seeing that he comes off the bench a lot.

Just a kick in the bollox for the rags to pay the asking price.

It's a smokescreen.

Wouldn't think there is anything to see here.

Probably not, as a United fan on Twitter fabricated the quote in the first place.

Really? WTF?

I've only just read this, posted my other one beforehand.

How sad is that?

It serves no purpose, what a sort of a tool would do that?
