Is there any British band that mattered that didn't do a Peel session?

Apart from the Clash and the Pistols?
And the Roses, who Peel didn't like.
Although I'm sure he played Elephant Stone

i used to knock about with deno, the singer from d.i.r.t. who regularly supported them live, so i was lucky enough to see crass many times.
she took me to their commune in epping forest, what an eye-opener!

their lyrics & behaviour changed the way many people viewed life.

i remember mark e. smith saying that when the fall recorded their first peel session the producer (martin hannet?) said to him, "you are the worst band we've ever had. you're even worse than siouxsie and the banshees" haha

That was John Walters, producer of the Peel Show and close mate, who had seen the Fall supporting Siouxsie and the Banshees in London. So he recommended the group for a session.
